Here is my Altered Frame

I have been cleaning out my craft room and came across this plain wood frame, which I painted white with acrylic paint (another great find!)

Altered Frame by Beth Pingry for Donna Salazar Blog Hop

I mixed Gold Pigment Powder with Girlie Grunge Art Medium to make a glaze and covered the frame. Next I mixed the same Gold Pigment Powder and water to color the Pennant, and I pulled some of the extra strings off the sides for more fringe.

To make the rose design, I mixed Gold Pigment Powder with clear embossing powder and stamped the Flower Bouquet stamp with embossing ink, sprinkled the gold mix, and then heat embossed.

For the flowers, I die cut the blue denim from the Pennant Set with a variety of flower dies – Jumbo Rose, Bitty Blossoms, and Rose Creations. I also die cut Girlie Grunge Gauze to layer between the flowers. The layers are adhered with Dodz™ XL and Dodz™ 3D, and the larger flowers have been with Girlie Grunge Art Medium and then shaped and allowed to dry.

To make the ‘wood’ die cut, I applied Girlie Grunge Tissue Tape to cardstock then die cut with the Memories die. I stamped the words Artistic, Creative, Inspired from Journal Words onto Canvas Ribbons, and then adhered them onto Crafty Foam Tape for dimension. The Swirls and Fleur de Lis are from the 3D Foam Swirls set, and I applied Gold Pigment directly to the sticky surface on them (just rub on with a finger). I layered Lace Ribbons & Denim Ribbons at the top of the Pennant with Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4″. The background is kraft paper.
