Cha-ching! Is there any living person that hasn’t absolutely been intrigued by a Cash Register and all of its compartments and treasure it holds inside? As kids, it’s one of the first grown up toys we played with. The sound of a cash register ringing means prosperity and so many good things. Say welcome to the Amazing Paper Grace September 2021 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register.
The light-hearted, pun-filled sentiments are perfect for any occasion, to send this 3D Fold Flat card. Want to let someone know how valuable they are to you? The “Priceless” sentiment will say that loud and clear. Do you want to express your opinion? “Just My .02” is the sentiment you’re looking for.
Beautiful old fashioned scroll work embosses, and the main pieces cut separately so you can use dimension to add more detail to this realistic die cut.
Here are some ideas that might inspire you to create:
- Make the traditional cash register and stock it with gift cards
- Make a basket from both facades for donations or as a friendly tip jar
- Are you in the middle of a fundraiser? Use it as a table favor to break the ice.
- Create a mini album with a cash register on the front and back for kids to record their savings

My Project Today using Pop Up 3D Vignette Vintage Cash Register.
My black cash register card uses black velvet textured paper. The embossing looks amazing, but it was hard to catch the light in the photos. We recently moved and in the unpacking of my craft supplies I found a nice stash of specialty paper. This card uses a combination of metallic colors and sheens.

My flowery card uses patterned paper with a white core. I sanded the embossed parts to further emphasize the designs. I used 3D Foam Squares to add dimension to the drawer and key area. The tiny flowers are so fun to make and add more dimension to the card.

Designer Tip: Do use a sturdy cardstock for the 3D Vignette front and back. In this case the velvet textured paper was glued to a firm cardstock. For deeper embossing you can lightly spritz your cardstock with water before die cutting and embossing. Let it dry completely before sanding it.

Thank you Becky! 😍
Your samples are so lovely but so different from one another. “For my two cents” I really like the colorful version. The colors go so well together and the flowers add the perfect finishing touch. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much Beverly! ❤
Wow that velvet paper is the star of the show! And your flowers are the star of the second card – they are spectacular and paper choices make it such fun! Both very eye-catching cards!!
Thank you Mary!
Great projects – I love the contrast between the two registers! A wonderful idea using the velvet paper – so cool. 🙂
