My featured die templates are:

S5-050 Nursery Time Frameabilities®

LF-251 Grand Big Scalloped Ovals

The first thing that came to mind was a baby announcement in a gate fold card.  The LF-251 Grand Big Scalloped Ovals were a perfect fit for the S5-050 Nursery Time Frameabilities.  It was pretty simple to construct, I layered the Grand Big Scalloped Ovals with Grand Ovals, using My Mind’s Eye Lush papers and cardstock.

The scallops allowed me to measure and fold the card perfectly!

I made a sleeve from the patterned paper, printed on the cut out from the large frame, and adhered the smaller frame to it.

Slide off the sleeve and the card opens.  I inked through the die template to color the embossed ducks and stitching detail.  I cut/embossed the frame in blue cardstock and pieced together a large frame to mat the cream colored frame.  I used the bear die cuts from the blue frame to sit in the bear shaped opening.

I love the peek-a-boo of the bear die cuts. Double sided patterned paper makes this card a delight to open, and the big scallops convey the sweetness of a new baby.  (No, there are no new babies in my house – just a very spoiled fur baby!!)  This card is going to be one of my favorites!

Supplies: Spellbinders Grand Calibur™; LF-251 Grand Big Scalloped Ovals; LF-110 Grand Ovals; S5-050 Nursery Time Frameabilities; SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™, MyStik™ Mounting Squares; Clearsnap Color Box Glacier Ice Ink; My Mind’s Eye Lush™ Blue Patterned Papers; WorldWin Papers Treasures Natural Cardstock; Bazzill Basics Paper Frosted Teal.

Thank You Spellbinders Paper Arts for sponsoring the Bunny Hop and the prizes today.

Aren’t the spellbinders grand? I love your card as usual. Wonderful use of the grand scalloped oval and the frame. I’m thinking this would go great for our charity work. My daughter makes hats and booties, and wants me to make her tags or cards to include with her sets. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful idea.
