Love Card with Dots!

Happy Friday again! It’s been a busy week catching up on work and projects! CHA was good, we were busy in the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L booth. I got to work closely with Donna Salazar in the launch of her new product line, which is super exciting!

Anyway, today I’m at A Jillian Vance Design with a quick Love card.

Love Card by Beth Pingry This card uses the Banner {die}tails, Ribbon Labels dies and True Love stamp sets, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Dots Permanent, May Arts Ribbon, Basic Grey Paper RSVP collection, and Clearsnap Mixed Media Inx.

Thanks for visiting,

Underwear for Your Birthday Card

Hello Friday! I have a cheeky card up at A Jillian Vance Design today, I’d love it if you clicked on over! I used the Doodle Birthday set designed by Lisa Lara. Here’s a little sneak peek at it:

And then I realized that I’m a bit behind on posting, so go ahead and check out this card I did 2 weeks ago. See, that’s what happens when CHA is so close to the holidays, you lose your mind!

Anyway, here is that card, a Valentine’s Day card in non-traditional colors. Why? Those two papers were on the top of the stack and they just looked good together! Lots of detail on the AJVD blog for this card:

Easter Basket Gift Bag

Today I’m sharing a project I made for CHA Winter 2014, a small gift bag with an Easter Basket embellishment. Beth Pingry Easter Basket Gift Bag

The shapes and Happy Easter are from the 3D Foam Easter Shapes, and I colored them with embossing powders from Sparkle N’ Sprinkle. The die cuts are from Spellbinders.

I posted this on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Crafty Power Blog earlier this week.

Thanks for stopping in today!

Beth

I used these supplies:

  • Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®:  3D Foam Easter Shapes, E-Z Squares® Refillable Dispenser, Creative Photo Corners White
  • Spellbinders: dies
  • Sparkle N’ Sprinkle: embossing powders
  • Cardstock, patterned paper, small gift bag

CHA and Catchin’ Up

The insanity of CHA is past, but I wanted to share a bit anyway, before it gets way too late

(I’ve been swamped with a huge project, and hopefully life will calm down once that deadline has passed!)

It is definitely a lot of planning, work, sweat and even a few tears getting to this:

Bare bones, boxes and crates…

To artwork, product, and decor.  Everyone has a job and it goes fairly smoothly.

It takes a village, so beyond the efforts of the team on the show floor, we have a team at the office, as well as designers and bloggers.

But while we were working, this was going on at home (see the mailbox??)

And then a whole lotta this:

Cathy Chlebana, DT Coordinator, Kim Hupke, Education Director, Kimberly Crawford, DT Member and I were stuck in Los Angeles!  Cathy had the wisdom to book a hotel room by LAX  just in case , thank goodness!

 Plan S: Shopping!

What’s a bunch of girls to do when we were just a few blocks from the garment district? (I apologize for the fuzzy cell phone pics)

 Beads and baubles and charms!

Boxes and boxes of Buttons!

Walls and walls of ribbon!

More fabric than you could  imagine!

And lots of laughs!

Plan B: The Beach!

The next day we decided to do the tourist thing and caught an inexpensive trolley to the charming little town of  Manhattan Beach.

It was a beautiful day!

Plan C: Cupcakes!

First stop Cupcakes Couture for breakfast!  Seriously, how could we not?

And it was worth every calorie!  (I had red velvet, YUM!)

Next stop, the beach!

We all took off our shoes, rolled up our jeans and got our feet wet.  The sand was warm, the ocean, not so much!

Thanks Spellbinders, for taking care of us while we were suffering miserably!  The next day it was back to reality and Chicago weather.

Mother Nature continued to punish us with a cold snap.  Yes, that’s -6  F at 8 am!

And we can’t forget Sparky’s birthday!  He turned 17 last week.  You can see that Cindy loves a good birthday too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Quick CHA Review

So I’m home from CHA, I’m out of chipper, happy, and helpful, all that’s left is cranky, tired and crabby, but it’s good to be home. Just don’t chew your food so loud, OK? I mean it.

Speaking of home, it has been bachelor fest + Cindy since Sunday, I’m not sure why they needed three sticks of butter out on the counter. I guess man cannot live on bacon alone. There are the remains of some tasty meals, consisting of burgers, something barbequed, a burnt spaghetti noodle in the cooktop, bacon grease, the boilings over from either ramen noodles or Rice a Roni (both a culinary delight) and plenty of splatter and spill. A few threats consisting of gibberish with a hint of cell phone and gas money, and I think I can get the crew to assist in a bit of KP. Did anyone change the towel in the bathroom? Bueller?

OK, while the boys were frolicking in a female free frenzy, I was off to CHA in Rosemont. It’s good to get the Spellbinders™ girls together! We stayed up a little too late, laughed A LOT, ate good food, and maybe had one too many…all after a long day of smiling, demonstrating, and order writing! Saw way too much product that I can’t live without, at the same time feeling like I hardly saw much of the show at all! I will not be driving back to Rosemont for the Super Show, I don’t know if my feet can take another day of pounding the concrete floors.

I have to come up with tomorrow’s Grand Calibur™ blog post, in between trips to the laundry room and maybe a walkie with Cindy. I picked up a few goodies for another giveaway…would anyone be interested in a fabulous t-shirt?  I’ll announce this contest once I get caught up on sleep!

Oh, and check out these! I absolutely had to have the Bull Terrier pendant! These are from Phenominoes – you can even have them put your own picture/design on it!
