Fairies and Frogs Card

I’m bringing out some previously unblogged projects. This one is from CHA Summer 2011, featuring Graphic 45′s Once Upon a Springtime papers. The frame around the focal image was made with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Ivory Photo Corners, the flower by Prima Marketing Flowers, and the die from Spellbinders Edgeabilities.

Some people find the Graphic 45 paper intimidating, with the larger images, but I have found them fun to work with, they pretty much eliminate the need for stamps or other embellishments because you can use so much of the paper.

In this case, I trimmed the image then created a mat that was about 3/4 inch larger than the image on 2 sides, then layered photo corners along the edge and in the corners. The rest is layering of papers. The green ribbon is a piece from the remnant bin (love those!)

Live Life Loud Card

Here’s a card from the archives that I have not shared yet.

I made the center from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Photo Corners placed in a chevron pattern. Then I die cut it with Spellbinders™ circle dies, and adhered them with 3D Foam Squares. The stamp is from Gina K. Designs. Here is the inside:

I love this stamp set and I really need to use it more!

Here’s my card for today. This was a challenge in that I’m not used to working with these types of stamps, they’re ‘open’ and to me, they require some extra work, or at least thinking. I suppose you could say they allow for more creativity.
The front of the card was easy enough – Beth Pingry Lawn Fawn Card Front

I was initially drawn to the mailbox stamp in this set and I really wanted to use it here, but it is smaller than the postcard and I couldn’t get both to work together in my little brain. It begged for a scene, so I created a pop up on the inside.
