It’s Football Season!

Welcome to the season! I was flipping through some photos of my son from his glory days playing middle school football.

The papers are a mixture of Jillibean Soup’s collections, I love how things coordinate between the kits.

Hidden journaling works on a page like this – I think it’s important to have the handwritten words along with the story ‘behind’ the photos.

Simple stuff, like photo corners, can draw attention to the photos amidst the  colors and patterns. Dimension from 3D Foam Squares helps to break up the page and add interest. I used them under the blue matted photo, the football embellishment, and at the top section.

Thanks for stopping today, and enjoy the game!

Supplies used:

Flower Pot Card

Its been a long hot summer! Most of my flower pots survived, but only by the grace of automatic sprinklers!

I really had fun making this card! I used Jillibean Soup’s Macho Nacho Soup kit to make a feminine inspired card. Of course Spellbinders™ dies did the heavy lifting, and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® keeps everything in place!

I used 3D Foam Squares to create a curve in the flower pot and the folds in the leaves, and Dodz 3D to form the flowers.

More A-Door-Able Cards!

I have a how-to tutorial for these A-Door-Able Cards on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Power Blog today.

Beth Pingry Door Cards

These were inspired by a post I did a while back, here…but you can’t see the card on that post because it has been published, along with 2 more cards I made!! Big puffy ♥s to CardMaker Magazine!

So this edition is from last spring, and I apologize for not screaming from the rooftops then, I had been buried in work at the time and hardly had time to come up for air.

The first is the original Red Door Card that was part of a Flourishes blog hop. The wreath is from a Flourishes Stamp.

The next one, and I’m not a ‘yellow’ person at all, just came together for a springtime door, with Flower Soft in the tussy mussy.

And the third, a white iridescent cover stock from WorldWin Papers, has embossed vellum in the center oval.

Sorry, it’s not the best photo, white on white is hard enough without the sheen, but you get the idea.

All the die cuts were from Spellbinders Nestabilities, and the cardstock from WorldWin Papers. Of course I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L’s 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Runner.

I have soooooo many more door ideas, so stay tuned!

Thanks for coming by today!
