My Idea of Housework on a Card

I have been nothing short of crazy busy lately,  so I apologize for leaving the blog for periods of time.  I swear one day I will catch up…

Anyway I have a tutorial posted on the SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™ Crafty Power Blog today.  Click on over to see the instructions for “My Idea of Housework”.

Supplies:

A Masculine Card with Photo Corners

I was playing with Photo Corners last week and came up with something different for a masculine, textured card. Something like this would be perfect for masculine cards for Father’s Day and graduation. See the step out photos on my Cardmaking with Photo Corners post on the SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™ Blog.

The embossed “V” on the SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L photo corners created an interesting texture when I started stacking and layering them.  I created a frame, or a stack of frames made by lining up the photo corners.

Craft It Forward Star Card

Scrapbooks etc. Craft It Forward - 120x120 blog button

Welcome to the Scrapbook Etc. Craft it Forward Blog Hop!

My card is pretty easy to create, and in fact you could make multiples in no time at all!

I started with a Waltzingmouse Stamp. Actually it’s from a Christmas collection, Seasons Of Love, but I love the design in the star!

It fits the Spellbinders™ Stars Five die template set perfectly!

I added the letters to spell out “thanks” and some bling.

All the die cuts were attached to the card with 3D Foam Squares from SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™. I love the dimension they give when stacking and layering.

Other supplies used are WorldWin Papers CutMates in Blue Potatoes and Ripe Tomatoes; Want2Scrap Say it With Baby Bling pearls in Red, White and Blue, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type letter stickers and Spellbinders Wonky Rectangles and Grand Calibur™ Machine.
