Hello Card

Today’s card is my second as this month’s Guest Designer for A Jillian Vance Design. I used the Daily Doilies Stamp and Die Set Combo.  Thanks again Jillian and Bunny, for this wonderful opportunity!

Daily Doilies Stamp and Die set

You know how doilies are so trendy right now! I love that I could make the background any color, and use any embossing powder too! So I decided to go with black and white, LOL! I love how it pops! The intricate design is beautiful, and the image was perfect the first time!

Beth Pingry Hello Card 1I stamped the doilies onto black cardstock with black ink, then heat embossed with white embossing powder. It’s easy to line up the dies with the images and run them through the die cutting machine!

I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® E-Z Dots® Permanent on the background paper and top left doily. I used Thin 3D Foam Squares on the center, and regular size 3D Foam Squares on the small doily, to give them dimension.

Beth Pingry Hello Card 2

This versatile set comes with the 3 doily stamps, 3 dies, and several phrases perfect for card making! I know I’ll reach for this set A LOT!

These are the supplies I used:

  • A Jillian Vance Design: Daily Doilies Stamp and Die Set Combo
  • Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®: E-Z Dots Permanent Refillable, Thin 3D Foam Squares; 3D Foam Squares Black Regular
  • Simple Stories: Snap Color Vibe 6×6 pad
  • IMAGINE/Tsukineko: Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • Ranger Ink: Seafoam White embossing powder
  • Black and Kraft cardstock

Thanks for reading!

Whiff of Joy Blog Hop

Hello! Today I have the privilege of blog hopping with Whiff of Joy!

Blog Hop header

These stamps, designed by my friend Stephanie Schütze, are beautiful! They are artfully themed, and come in deeply etched red rubber, with cling backing. This is the set I received:

And this is the card I made:

I stamped the stacks twice for each image, then colored the book covers with colors that reminded me of old leather-bound books. I used Thin 3D Foam Squares, and 3D Foam Squares (regular thickness) on every other stack, to give them dimension.

For the open book, I stamped twice, then fussy cut the top page, folded and curled the page, and adhered to the book with MyStik® Permanent Strips (because I can dispense them 1 at a time) and then added a 3D Foam Square under the page to give it dimension. Here’s a side view:

Pink Door Card for A Jillian Vance Design Guest Designer!

Welcome, and grab a cookie! I’m very excited to be guest designing for A Jillian Vance Design this month! Today I’m working with their Wreath of Hope stamp and die set, along with the Hope Pink Ink stamp. I had been asked to make something pink to go along with breast cancer awareness.

Here’s what I made:

Beth Pingry Pink Door Card

The wreath image made me think of a door, and if you remember, I made some door cards a while ago. This is another take on that theme.

I simple cut the panels, stacked them and used Thin 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® to add them to the card front. I inked them lightly for a little more visual depth. The keyhole has been in my stash for some time, by Melissa Frances (who is a breast cancer survivor!). The door knob is a brad.

I stamped the Wreath of Hope stamp onto white cardstock, then colored it in with Copic Markers. A simple bow finished the front of the card.

BethPingry-PinkDoor-2For the inside, I stamped the Hope Pink Ink stamp, then colored in the heart and some of the words. I layered that panel on kraft cardstock, and used Pink Photo Corners to add some more flair.
Beth Pingry Pink Door Card 3Here’s a top view of the card, you can see that the Thin 3D Foam Squares give just a bit of height without overdoing it (1mm to be exact). I stacked two regular sized 3D Foam Squares so that the wreath had additional “lift”.

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® donates a portion of the sales of their pink products to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Thank you, A Jillian Vance Design, for this wonderful opportunity to work with your products! You normally find me at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®, where I am Media Director and Design Team Coordinator.
